Minerals
are nutrients found in our food and water. There are seven macro-minerals (used
in large amounts) — calcium, chloride, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, sodium
and sulphur. In addition, there are approximately 23 minerals the body utilizes
in small amounts called trace minerals. Vitamins cannot work in the body unless
minerals are present.
